Ready for the Financial Year End?

Here’s a checklist to ensure your financial year end gets wrapped up smoothly:

1. Make sure your accounts are all up to date and everything is reconcile. Get all your missing items together ASAP!

2. Review your financial statements such as you profit and loss and balance sheets to give you an indication of where your business is at.

3. Conduct a stock take and
make sure there are no discrepancies heading into the new financial year.

4. Follow up on any outstanding invoices and ensure you’ve made all payments which are due to your suppliers.

5. Update your fixed asset register. Consider depreciation and any disposals or acquisitions.

6. Gather all necessary documents for tax filing.
- Review tax deductions and credits applicable to your business.

7. Evaluate you financial goals. Reflect on your business performance over the last year. Identify what you did well and what didn’t go so well.

8. Consult with your accountant or Bookkeeper
- Schedule a meeting to discuss your financial health.

Today is I’m lucky to have had two very inspirational woman in my life.

My mum is amazing and bought me and brother up single handed and worked tirelessly so we didn’t go without.

My Nan who was Italian who came to England to work in the 50’s where she met my Granddad. Despite being bullied by her fellow Italians for dating an Englishman she married my him and made a life here in England.

If I can bring my own daughter up to be like these women I will know I’ve done a good job.
