From April 2026, Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax Self-Assessment begins.

If you’re a sole trader or landlord with income over £50,000, you’ll need to:
⚖️ Keep digital records
⚖️ Submit quarterly returns to HMRC via software

We’ll be waving goodbye to the old annual tax return 👋🏽

And from April 2027, the threshold drops to £30,000.
