As a business grows, “𝘐’𝘭𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳” stops being quite as reliable as it once was… 😂

This is something we’re working on at FJH too – getting processes out of my head, tightening up our checklists and making it clearer who is responsible for what and when.

Because the aim isn’t to create endless processes for the sake of it. It’s to spend less time chasing, checking and firefighting – and more time actually moving the business forward.

Good systems don’t have to be complicated. They just need to work.

If you've been making use of the temporary reduction this summer, now's the time to make sure your till, POS and accounting systems are ready to switch back.

The 5% rate ends after 𝟭 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, with the usual VAT treatment returning from 𝟮 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

A quick check now could save you ending up in a VAT pickle further down the line!

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺. 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁. 🎉

Anthony has passed his first AAT Level 2 exam – and not only did he pass, he's come away with the highest exam result in the FJH office so far 👏

Although, in fairness, he does live with a former AAT tutor… so I'm not sure he can take all the credit 😂

A brilliant start to his qualification. No pressure for the next one then!

When I first started FJH, I never imagined just how much it would grow.

What began as a bookkeeping business has become a team that helps small business owners feel more in control of their finances and more confident making business decisions.

We’ve quietly launched our new website…

Over the last few months, we’ve been working behind the scenes on a website that better reflects who we are, how we work and the support we give to small business owners.

It’s live now, although we’re still adding a few more pages, resources and helpful content over the coming weeks.

We didn’t want to wait for everything to feel “perfect” before sharing it, because we’re really proud of how far it’s come already.

The new site gives a better feel for FJH, the way we support our clients and our belief that good accountancy should help business owners feel more informed, more confident and like they’ve got someone in their corner.
