Our lovely Kelly is back, rested and ready to share a little bit of her incredible CoppaTrek adventure with CoppaFeel this month! 💓
Kelly joined 114 Trekking Superstars who collectively raised a huge £774,675 for CoppaFeel, what a fantastic effort by all!
We asked Kelly about her experience…
Trip highlight:
‘’The people, it’s hard to put into words just how special the people I met were. The support, laughter, tears and love were unmatched, and I’ve definitely come home with 30 new family members!’’
The toughest part:
For Kelly, it wasn’t the trekking itself, but the emotional side of the challenge. Taking part in memory of her mum meant being surrounded by people whose lives had also been touched by breast cancer which brought up some difficult memories.
‘’But it also gave me the space to reflect on my mum, honour her memory and remember exactly why I wanted to take on this challenge in the first place. Knowing we wee raising money and awareness for such an important cause helped turn that sadness into purpose.’’
Biggest lesson:
EVERYONE will eventually have to embrace a wild wee, no matter how dignified they thought they were!! 🤣🤭
Would you do it again?
