What qualifications do you have and are you authorised by the FCA?

I hold a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, which means I am fully qualified to offer advice in line with United Kingdom standards. I actually won an award from the Lincoln Insurance Institute for my academic achievement!

And yes, I offer fully regulated financial advice, in line with the Financial Conduct Authority standards.

It provides an extra layer of reassurance that everything I do meets strict regulatory standards that are in place, to protect you.

Hi, I’m Tom 👋

In 2024, I made a big change, leaving a career in the motor trade that I loved to retrain as a Financial Adviser. I wanted to do something that made a real difference, helping people achieve their financial goals while building long-term relationships based on trust.

By 2025, that dream became Yard Wealth Management. Now, I spend my days working with local people and business owners, making financial planning clear, approachable and tailored to real lives, not just spreadsheets. For me, wealth isn’t just about money, it’s about helping you make the most of what you have in a way that works for you.

Outside of work, I’m usually out exploring with my dogs, Harry (the Labrador) and Douglas (the Great Dane), or busy tinkering away with my Land Rover, sometimes just trying to get it started! I’m a big fan of cars, and my love for watching racing is growing, from F1 to Le Mans 24 and BTCC! I really can’t get enough. When the Land Rover is playing ball and on the road, an adventure in the Lakes or Dales is always on the cards.

I’m looking forward to sharing more here about financial planning, life as a small business owner, and the things I’m passionate about. Thanks for joining me on this journey, I’m glad you’re here.
