✨ Meet the Team - Laura✨

What’s your role at Saul Fairholm and what does a typical day look like for you?

I’m an Associate Director and I split my time between our Lincoln and Retford offices. I really enjoy meeting with different clients and learning about their businesses. A typical day involves dealing with client and staff queries, and I love that no two days are ever the same.

What do you enjoy most about working at Saul Fairholm / Retford office?

I really enjoy being part of a team, working closely with clients and building strong relationships. I also love the fact that our Retford office is staffed primarily by Retford-based people, which creates a real community feel.

What’s your favourite film, book, podcast or TV series?

My favourite book is 'Rebecca' by Daphne du Maurier, and I’m also a huge fan of the Harry Potter books and films ⚡

What do you love doing outside of work?

I love spending time with my husband and family doing different activities, and I’m partial to a cocktail or glass of wine! 🍷 I also enjoy reading and, when I get the chance, doing cross stitches and embroidery.

What’s your dream holiday destination and why?

My dream destination was always Florida, and last year my husband and I finally made it happen for our 10th wedding anniversary with the trip of a lifetime visiting Disney World and Universal Studios✈️🏰

There’s nothing quite like getting outdoors and enjoying the beauty around us, and the Saul Fairholm team do this regularly!🌿

Michelle loves walking the Viking Way between Coleby and Harmston — taking in the big skies, incredible sunsets and if you’re lucky, even catching the Red Arrows flying overhead ✈️

For Zoe, it’s an early morning stroll across South Common with her dog and those stunning views over Lincoln 🐾

Dawn enjoys visiting Hawes in North Yorkshire — a charming market town with beautiful waterfall walks nearby and a fish & chip shop that’s hard to beat!

And Yusuf recently explored Northern Ireland, hiking around the breathtaking Giant’s Causeway ⛰️

Spring Bank Holiday Closure 🌿

It’s nearly time for the Spring Bank Holiday!

Great to catch up with the team at Knights over lunch last week. It was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen professional relationships, reconnect with familiar faces and meet new members of the team.

We had some really valuable conversations around the areas they specialise in, as well as the common challenges clients are currently facing. Always good to share insights and build connections with like-minded professionals.

A brilliant evening out for the Saul Fairholm team at STACK 🎯🎤

From interactive darts and shuffleboard battles to karaoke classics, it was great to get everyone together away from the office for some well-earned fun.

Safe to say there were a few hidden talents discovered… and a few songs that probably should’ve stayed off the playlist 👀😂

What a fantastic day at the Retford Lions Club Red Duck Race!

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Kings Park and helped make it such a fun and memorable event. It was wonderful to see the community come together in support of such an important cause.

And now, the results are in… 🎉

👉 Winning red duck: Walker and Son Hauliers Ltd of Tuxford!

While our six ducks didn’t quite take the top spot this time, we’re incredibly proud to have been part of an event that supports Bassetlaw Hospice and the amazing work they do for local families.

Congratulations to all the winners, and a big thank you to Retford Lions Club for organising such a brilliant day.
