Well done to the team (and their children) who last week took part in the Small Acts of Kindness Packathon.
Small Acts of kindness is a local organisation who reduce loneliness and isolation for older and vulnerable people, by delivering one small act of kindness at a time
Their Winter Warmer bags are delivered to over 4000 local people to keep older people warm over the winter and it contains basic things like gloves, socks, blankets, teabags and biscuits, plus a pack of useful information. The numbers of elderly people who suffer loneliness and cold during the winter months is staggering, so receiving a bag like this can help in so many ways.
Our team added their small contribution by packing hundreds of leaflets which form the information pack included in the bag.
Thank you to Lynne Misner and Jack Rice-West for inviting us along. Everyone enjoyed it so much they are looking forward to the next event in October.
