The PROVE Act, HR4851, is a bill that, if passed, results in US citizens living abroad being reclassified as DC residents. DC doesn't get a vote at the Senate level. Further, you aren't allowed to vote at all if you don't happen to have a US permanent resident address. I do not have one of those. I have a US address I can use, but it's not where I live so it won't qualify.

This bill will result in taxation without representation.

This is EXACTLY what your forebears fought for.

Don't forget to take the Democrats Abroad 2022 Tax Survey before April 30th. They need as many people as possible to participate to gain a better understanding of the tax and financial access issues Americans abroad are currently experiencing so the more the merrier. You do not have to be a Democrats Abroad member to participate. You don't even have to be a Democrat. Please share with your American friends and family living abroad, and ask them to share it with people they know too.
