Guide to start an Accountancy and Finance Career within 4/5 Months!
If you are on a student visa, this guide might help you secure a reliable Tier 2 sponsor job.
Spend one day a week following the steps below, and I am confident you will successfully achieve your goal.
Focus on entry-level jobs such as bookkeeper, accounts assistant, trainee accountant, finance assistant, accounts receivable or payable clerk, etc.
Once you enter the job market, you can further study for ACCA, ACA, or CIMA to accelerate your career.
Steps to follow:
1.Study AAT Level 3 (Certificate in Bookkeeping):
You need to study two modules to become an AAT-certified bookkeeper. If you have a background in business studies, you can pass this by self-study. The exam is computer-based, and you will get the result in 24 hours. You can book the exam at any time and retake it as many times as needed. 2.Gain Practical Experience:
Learn the accounting software QuickBooks, Xero and Microsoft Excel. You can learn these software programs online. If you are interested, you could look for third-party training providers.
3.Apply for Jobs:
Consistently applying for jobs is very important. Some people give up after applying for only a few jobs. Write a professional CV and open a LinkedIn profile. Register for job sites like Indeed, CV Library, Total Jobs, Gumtree, London Jobs, etc., and apply for at least 50 jobs per day.
Direct Job Application:
Search Google for terms like "Accountant near me," "Accountant near Canary Wharf," "London Bridge," "Bank," etc., and visit accountants' websites to search for job vacancies. Apply for suitable vacancies, and if there are none, send a professional email with your CV for future opportunities. You can also call them directly, politely introduce yourself, and ask if they have any vacancies. Additionally, you can print your CV and physically visit offices to hand it in. Ensure you remain confident and dress tidily.
