The House of Commons Treasury Committee has published a report on the operation of student loans.

Earlier this year, the Department for Education (DfE) announced a 6% interest cap on Plan 2 student loans for one year from September 2026.

As the new university year begins, this provides a useful opportunity for parents and grandparents to consider how they may wish to support younger family members through university.

Every family’s circumstances are different, so it can be helpful to understand the costs involved with the help of a financial adviser.

Day 3 of the Route des Grandes Alpes Charity Ride complete! 🚴‍♂️

We're incredibly proud of Charlie Lloyd and Grant Hotson, who have now conquered the toughest day of their charity ride so far. Thankfully, the weather has been on their side, with the forecast rain staying away. The real test now comes as temperatures are set to climb above 30°C.

Today's route included the legendary Col du Télégraphe and Col du Galibier, both featured in last week's Tour de France. The 17km climb up the Galibier, with gradients of 10-11%, was every bit as brutal as expected, but the reward was an unforgettable 25km descent into the beautiful town of Briançon.

An incredible effort so far - keep going, Charlie and Grant. We're all behind you every pedal of the way!
