𝗔 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆

A bit of a photo drop from Sunday, when members of the Shackleton team took on the Spartan Races in support of our charity fundraising efforts.

There were some serious challenges along the way, with the team taking on a combined 90 obstacles across the 5k and 10k races!

A huge well done to everyone who took part - and thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraising efforts along the way. It was certainly a challenge, but a fantastic day and we’re already looking forward to doing it all again next year, raising more for our Shackleton Charity Account.

We’re delighted to share that Shackleton has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Aberdein Considine Wealth Limited, trading as AC Wealth, one of Scotland’s leading independent financial advice firms.

The acquisition, which remains subject to approval by the Financial Conduct Authority, from AC Wealth’s existing shareholders, marks an exciting next step for Shackleton as we continue to strengthen our presence in the Scottish wealth management and financial advice market.

The House of Commons Treasury Committee has published a report on the operation of student loans.

Earlier this year, the Department for Education (DfE) announced a 6% interest cap on Plan 2 student loans for one year from September 2026.

As the new university year begins, this provides a useful opportunity for parents and grandparents to consider how they may wish to support younger family members through university.

Every family’s circumstances are different, so it can be helpful to understand the costs involved with the help of a financial adviser.
