Now, everyone knows what it's like to be a little late but HMRC tax credit office has taken things to new limits. A tranche of letters relating to the 2005/2006 tax year have recently been issued - that's more than twenty tax years ago!!

So, it's January 31st - tax return deadline day and the due date for your personal tax liability to be paid. Clients of Munro's will have received bespoke correspondence confirming any amount due to be paid, and details of how to pay.

The last day of July is (potentially) tax payment day if you complete a self assessment tax return. Payments can be made electronically, following the information here... https://www.gov.uk/pay-self-assessment-tax-bill/bank-details
Clients of Munro's will have been reminded of their amount to pay or, if appropriate, notified that there is no tax due. 🥸

Companies House fees increased on 1st May 2024. A list of the new fees can be found here... https://changestoukcompanylaw.campaign.gov.uk/changes-to-companies-house-fees/ ... but it's likely to be the increased fee for annual confirmation statements (from £13 to £34) that will have an impact on the largest number of (limited company) businesses.
