🌟 This week, we’re spotlighting Humanitarian Outcomes (HO) 🌟

Humanitarian Outcomes is an independent research organisation specialising in humanitarian action, policy and practice.

HO was founded in 2009 by four former aid workers who wanted to create a space for practical research on some of the biggest issues facing the humanitarian sector.

Since then, the organisation has produced research used by governments, the UN, international organisations and humanitarian agencies around the world.

One of its best-known contributions is the Aid Worker Security Database, which provides statistics on violence against humanitarian personnel and is used by humanitarian organisations, governments and the UN. HO’s annual Aid Worker Security Report, drawn from this data, is widely cited in global media.

🧡 There’s also a special connection for us: we’ve been working with Humanitarian Outcomes since the very beginning. Back in 2009, we helped them get up and running as a UK-based limited company.

Earlier this year, we partnered with Link UP London, a fantastic charity that brings together people who have skills and experience to share with charities and community organisations that need them. And we really like that idea: using the skills we have to create impact beyond our day-to-day work.

Our FD Heather has just successfully completed a skilled volunteering project 🙌 and we'd like to thank the team at Link UP London for making these connections possible! 🤝 🧡

If you've visited our office over the years, you'll know that we've called Canalot Studios our home since 2007. As one of the many Workspace Group locations across London, it's where we've built our business, met clients and partners, and celebrated with a fantastic business community.

That's why we're especially pleased to see Portobello Business Centre (PBC) and Workspace joining forces to support small businesses. 🤝

Through this partnership, PBC is delivering 💯 hours of free business support to Workspace customers, as well as businesses registered in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea - covering everything from business planning and marketing to funding, AI, automation and business growth. "How 'social' is social media these days?

One of the greatest joys of my job is taking pictures of my team and capturing our story. It's something I've come to really love doing because there's something quite special that happens when people get comfortable with you and the camera.

Don't get me wrong, I've been playing with AI a lot (even this post will be spell checked, just to be sure! 😉). But the point I guess I am trying to make this:

AI can generate an image, but it can't recreate a real experience.
It can imitate a smile, but it can't live a moment.
It can replicate what we look like, but it can never replace who we are.

As AI gets better at creating, being genuinely authentic and human becomes our greatest superpower. We are not made to make a choice here - it's about how we use our powerful tools while still celebrating what makes us human.
