Today we attended the Croydon Property & Housing Summit 2026. It was a vibrant and informative event, with useful discussions about the property and housing sector and the future development of Croydon.

It was a great opportunity to network and speak with professionals from across the property and housing industry. It was particularly interesting to hear from developers who also have a vision to support people through social housing and create better communities.

Thank you to the Croydon Business Association, the organisers, sponsors and everyone involved in making the event a success.

A very worthwhile day at the IFA Annual Conference today.

It was good to hear directly from Myrtle Lloyd, HMRC’s Director General for Customer Services, about HMRC’s plans to improve customer service and their future direction. As accountants, we all experience the day to day challenges, so it was useful to have the opportunity to hear their perspective and share feedback.

Another highlight was a very useful presentation from the Metropolitan Police on cybercrime. It was a timely reminder of the growing risks facing businesses and individuals.

A useful and informative event with plenty to take away.

Landlords, today is the deadline

If you have an existing private tenancy in England that started before 1 May 2026 and has a written tenancy agreement, you may need to give your tenant the official Renters’ Rights Act Information Sheet 2026 by today, 31 May 2026.

Failure to do this could result in a fine of up to £7,000.

Please check the official GOV.UK guidance and speak to your letting agent or legal adviser if you are unsure.
