Supporting Little Hearts Through Big Losses 💜

When a young child loses a classmate or friend, the empty chair in the classroom can feel overwhelming. How do we help them understand, process, and navigate that grief?

In Cleo & The Remembering Chair, Cleo faces the sudden loss of her best friend, Theo. Together with her dad and teacher, she learns how to transform an empty space into a place of comfort, memory, and love.
Key Takeaways:

✨ Turning Empty Spaces into Memory Stations – Helping children celebrate stories and shared moments.

✨ Navigating Big Worries – Grounding techniques like the Safety Anchor to help children feel safe when anxiety creeps in.

✨ Keeping Stories Alive – Reminding children that love and friendship stay with us.

Whether you are a parent, teacher, guardian, or bereavement practitioner, this resource is a gentle, practical tool to spark open conversations about loss.

Nobody prepares you for what comes after someone dies.

The funeral is only the beginning.

Suddenly you're expected to deal with banks, pensions, utility companies, HMRC, the DVLA, probate, and countless forms and phone calls—all while trying to process your grief.

When we lost my mum, I realised there wasn't one simple place that explained everything that needed to be done.

That's why we created the **UK After Death Checklist**.

This isn't just another book. It's a practical, step-by-step guide with checklists you can tick off as you go, helping you stay organised during one of the hardest times of your life.

Hearing reviews like this reminds us why we started Handle My Affairs. If this book can make even one family's journey a little less overwhelming, then it's doing exactly what it was created to do.

❤️ If you know someone who could benefit from this resource, please share this post. You never know who might need it today.

It brings together daily mindfulness prompts, grounding exercises, and reflective practices designed to help build emotional resilience and create moments of calm during difficult periods.

Rather than pushing quick solutions, the journal encourages small, manageable steps that support self-awareness, emotional regulation, and personal healing over time.

It may be particularly useful for individuals, wellbeing practitioners, support workers, and organisations working with people experiencing bereavement or ongoing loss.
