We look forward to welcoming Egerton to the Kings Hill Oval tomorrow for the second leg of the TWC Financial Ltd. Cup. An afternoon of family cricket activity from 4pm, will be followed by the match, starting at 6pm. The barbecue will be going, so come down and enjoy a drink and some fun cricket.

On Sunday 8th October, some of our team at TWC Financial Ltd are running in the Royal Parks Half Marathon in London, raising funds for our chosen partner charity, Taylor-Made Dreams, a charity extremely close to the heart of one of our Directors, Martin Wilkinson, and his family.

Briefly, the charity supports children with life limiting illnesses across Kent, Sussex and Surrey and brings their dreams to life in the form of a bespoke 'Bucket List' as well as offering holistic therapy, counselling and other support services to their families (like Martin’s) in extremely difficult circumstances.

Our colleagues, including Martin and his wife Lisa, are running in memory of their wonderful son Josh who died age 12 from Bone Cancer six years ago now.

Martin: “TMD helped create such lovely family memories in the 2 years before Josh died and we know Josh would want us to continue with a smile as wide as his and all the precious memories of him in our hearts. He will be especially proud that various Journey4Josh Fund Raising efforts for TMD/GOSH/Young Lives vs Cancer will soon have raised in excess of £200,000, a lot of which has been as a result of the ongoing generosity, love and support from our friends, colleagues and clients.”

Another fantastic knock from Neil this weekend!

At Southborough, Neil Thompstone hit his maiden 100 helping the Friendly XI to a 54 run win. Coming in at 50-2 in the 12th over, Neil's fine knock included nine sixes. His powerful hitting, at times out of the ground, steered the Friendly XI to 260-4 off their 40 overs.

It was a good afternoon for the Thompstones, as Neil's son Noah took 2 for 20 off his 5 overs and held a crucial catch at deep midwicket to dismiss Southborough's classy opening batsman.

Our friends over at the Kent and Medway Young Musicians Trust (KaMYM Trust) are hosting a Gala Concert in the Great Hall at Allington Castle at 7:30 pm on Friday 17 March 2023. It will feature Royal Opera House mezzo-soprano Rachael Lloyd and Robin Ashwell, violist for the Sacconi Quartet, as well as The Maidstone Singers and some of the Trust's numerous awardees.
