At just two weeks old, Morgan's only symptom was poor feeding.

What his family did not know was that he was experiencing SVT (supraventricular tachycardia), with his heart racing at 300 beats per minute. Within hours, he required multiple cardioversions, specialist care and emergency transfers between hospitals. Today, thanks to early diagnosis and treatment, Morgan is a happy, thriving little boy.

Today is Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT) Awareness Day.

SVT is a rapid abnormal heart rhythm that starts in the upper chambers of the heart. Raising awareness can help more people recognise the symptoms, understand the causes, and explore treatment options.

HCYC supports vulnerable and isolated children and young people across Harborough District through play and youth work sessions, clubs, and projects using our mobile "Chill Out Bus" and local venues, and we’re always looking for local partners who want to be involved.

We know a lot of businesses want to give something back locally, but aren’t always sure where to start. Partnering with us is a brilliant way to do that, whether it’s helping with core running costs or directly supporting a project.
