3pm – 7pm Monday to Friday and also an additional 10 hours support to be used over a weekend.

The young man has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, severe learning disabilities, and complex care needs. Full training will be provided, including moving & handling and medication administration.

Job description

We are currently looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to support a gentleman in the North Shields area. This would be for long term cover to cover maternity leave with a possibility of the position becoming permanent.

Duties would include personal care, housework including laundry, support with meal provision, assistance with getting to appointments and social meetings so a driver would be desirable.

The hours for this position would be 9am – 5pm Sunday and Monday with a half an hour unpaid lunch break. Also, a 1 hour evening call on Sunday and Monday from 8pm to 9pm to administer medication and make the client a snack.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a DBS application. This will be funded by the employer.
