Our October team meeting yesterday at Wychwood Park Hotel and Golf Club marked our final team meeting of the year, and it was a valuable chance to get everyone together.

With colleagues working across the UK, opportunities to meet in one room matter. We heard updates from senior leaders across the business, reflected on the year so far and spent time planning what’s in store for 2027.

In the afternoon, we welcomed our lender partners for updates and conversations with the team. Thank you to Adrian Francis-Lang from Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (AMC); Samantha Pettit and Paul Hughes from West One Loans; and Greg Barnard and Mike Sharp from Hampshire Trust Bank for taking the time to join us and share your insights.

It was a productive day, and it was especially good to catch up with colleagues we don’t always get to see in person. We’re heading into the final months of the year with plenty to focus on and exciting plans taking shape for 2027.

Great to see our Commercial Manager, Joe Baguley, out and about building relationships, although this meeting looked a little different to the usual coffee and catch-up!

Joe recently met with an accountant from Stockport over 9 holes of golf, talking business, the challenges clients are currently facing and, importantly, how they can work together to support more clients in the future.

At Watts Commercial, we’re big believers in getting out there, building genuine relationships and working closely with our network of accountants, mortgage brokers, IFAs and trusted advisers.

Wow, what a two days at the Hard Hats to Heels Retreat!

Our Commercial Manager, Becky Blaymires, joined women from across the property and construction industries at Celtic Manor for two days dedicated to development, connection and confidence. It was a chance to step away from the day to day, share experiences, meet new people and think about what greater visibility could make possible.

Our Commercial Manager, Daniel Jones, attended Bristol Property Connect, hosted by IAD UK at Shaftesbury Park in Bristol. The evening brought together local people from across the property industry to make new connections, share ideas and explore opportunities to work together.

With estate agents, advisers and other property professionals in the room, it was a great opportunity for Dan to hear about their plans and discuss how the right commercial finance could help bring them to life.

Our Commercial Manager, Chris Hiddins, recently attended the PMS Round Table event at Celtic Manor, Newport, a fantastic opportunity to connect with brokers from across the PMS network in a focused, small-group setting.
