Every year we support a charity and share the details with clients, contacts, family and friends, to hopefully shine a little spotlight on them.
This year we are shining the light a little closer to home.
Georgy – a client’s son – was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer at the age of 8, and at 15 is still battling this awful disease. His strength at such a young age is quite simply astounding.
Without funding from Bone Cancer Research Trust, new advances in medicine would not be possible. Treatment has moved on since Georgy was diagnosed meaning more people are now being cured.
Therefore this year we have chosen to support the Bone Cancer Research Trust.
Every 10 minutes a child, teenager or adult is diagnosed with this brutal disease and they face odds of 50% of surviving 5 years.
Bone Cancer Research Trust is the only charity dedicated to this disease, and 100% of their funding comes from private donations.
A friend of the family is running the London Marathon in support of Bone Cancer Research Trust, and as you may know a minimum donation of £2,500 is required to be able to undertake this challenge. Please join us, if you can, in helping her get there – the link to donate is below.
