Got a letter from HMRC about tax on your savings interest? Don’t just pay it. Check it first.

✔️ Some people are getting a SECOND letter for 2025-26 that includes what they’ve already paid. Don’t pay twice.
✔️ HMRC assumes joint accounts are split 50/50. If yours isn’t, tell them.
✔️ You’ve got 60 days from the date on the letter to query it.
✔️ Already file a tax return? You can ask HMRC to withdraw it, because it goes on your return instead.

Check the figures against your bank’s interest statements, and send it to us if something looks off.

• Since 2024, sites like Vinted and eBay report sellers with 30+ sales or about £1,700 a year to HMRC
• Being reported is NOT the same as owing tax
• Selling your own old stuff for less than you paid? Not trading
• Buying things to sell on for profit? That’s trading, and over £1,000 a year you’ll need to tell HMRC

Poland really is a country of culture…There’s something very special about seeing hundreds of people gather in Łazienki Królewskie on a hot summer Sunday, even in 30-degree heat, simply to sit together and listen to Chopin.

The Chopin Monument itself was destroyed by N**i Germans during the occupation and later rebuilt. Perhaps that says something about Poland itself. So much was destroyed, and yet we rebuilt, holding on to our culture, traditions and identity.

That strength and resilience are still very much part of us as Polish people today. 🇵🇱💪

I see this question coming up a lot online. MTD is not about linking your bank to HMRC, but about keeping digital records and submitting updates through software. You do not need a business bank account as a sole trader, but having a separate account makes life much easier. Limited companies are different.
