🍻 Welcome news for Newcastle’s hospitality businesses!

Newcastle’s Late Night Levy ends on 31 October 2026. No new bills will be issued, although outstanding bills for the previous year still need to be paid.

Introduced in 2013, the levy charged eligible venues licensed to supply alcohol between midnight and 6am an extra £299–£4,440 annually, subject to exemptions. It added another fixed expense for affected businesses.

Its removal means more breathing room in those venues’ budgets, while night-time safety support will continue through replacement funding.
