Why work with a Chartered Financial Planner?

Choosing a financial adviser is ultimately about trust.
One of the clearest indicators of that trust is professional standard and Chartered Financial Adviser status represents the highest level of qualification in the profession.

Chartered status reflects years of advanced study, ongoing professional development and a commitment to working within a strict ethical framework.

At Anglian Wealth Management, our Managing Director, Ian Farrant, is a Chartered Financial Planner with an Advanced Financial Planning Certificate.

For our clients across Norwich, Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, that provides an added level of reassurance.

It means the advice you receive is not only tailored and considered, but grounded in a depth of knowledge and professionalism that has been formally recognised.

What does retirement actually look like for you?

For some, it’s stepping back completely. For others, it’s having the freedom to work less, travel more or spend more time with family in a meaningful way.

That’s why pension planning isn’t something we approach with a template.

At Anglian Wealth Management, we work with clients across Norwich, Norfolk and the wider East Anglia region to build retirement strategies that reflect real lives, not standardised blueprints.

That might include auditing existing pension pots, planning sustainable future income or simply making sure your investments are working efficiently and you’re on track for the lifestyle you want.

The goal is simple: to give you confidence and peace of mind in the road ahead.

The value of an investment may fall as well as rise. You may get back less than you invested.

A great day in London yesterday spent away from the desks as a team!

It’s important to take time to step back, catch up properly and enjoy each other’s company outside of the office and yesterday’s fabulous lunch was the perfect opportunity to do just that.

Strong client relationships start with a strong team and we’re fortunate to work alongside such a supportive group of people here at Anglian Wealth Management.

One of the strongest themes to emerge from the latest SJP Financial Health Report is the link between planning and peace of mind.

The report found that households with a financial plan were, on average, £87,000 better off than those without one.

More importantly, they also reported feeling more financially comfortable, resilient and optimistic about the future.

Anglian Wealth Management was established with a clear purpose: to provide thoughtful, personalised financial planning built on long-term relationships.

Based in Norwich, we support individuals and families across East Anglia and beyond. Much of our business comes through recommendation, which reflects the trust our clients place in us.

We take time to understand each client’s circumstances properly, building plans that evolve as life changes. Our clients value having someone they can contact directly, someone who understands their situation and can give clear, considered guidance when it’s needed.

Inheritance tax is one of the most significant challenges families face when passing on wealth.

Our experts help clients across East Anglia take a considered, long-term approach to reduce or prepare for their IHT liability. That may involve making use of gifting allowances, placing assets into trust* or structuring estates in a way that reflects both family priorities and current tax rules.

We understand that these are not quick decisions. They require thought, balance and in many cases, sensitive conversations across generations.

Handled properly, Inheritance Tax planning can help create clarity, preserve family wealth and ensure that what you’ve built over a lifetime is passed on in the way you intended.

The value of an investment may fall as well as rise. You may get back less than you invested.

Taxation rules can change at any time and are dependent on individual circumstances.

This is a great read for anyone looking to build stronger financial foundations.

Focusing on something as practical as emergency savings, the article breaks down how simple, structured conversations around money can help people feel more confident and prepared for the unexpected ➡ very much aligned with how we support our clients every day.

By turning complex financial topics into clear, actionable guidance, it highlights the real value of financial education in helping people make informed decisions.

Well worth a read for anyone looking to take greater control of their financial future.

Lifetime Financial Planning starts with a simple idea..... listening first.

Taking the time to truly understand what matters most - your values, your priorities and the life you want to create.

Because it’s never just about numbers on a page.

It’s about the people, experiences, and sense of security those numbers are meant to support.

At the heart of it all is one powerful question - what is enough?

- Enough to support the people you love
- Enough to create opportunities and meaningful experiences
- Enough to make a difference beyond yourself
- Enough to feel calm, secure, and in control of your future

When we take the time to define “enough,” financial planning becomes something more intentional.

It shifts from simply accumulating wealth to creating clarity, confidence and a deeper sense of purpose.

The result is a plan built not just for growth, but for balance, fulfilment, and lasting peace of mind.

Have you thought about what enough look like for you?
