Following last week’s announcement that we had been shortlisted as finalists in three categories at the Tandridge Business Awards, this week we have had the chance to talk in more detail about our team, our culture and what makes Cadence special during the interviews.

The conversations were thoughtful, the questions were brilliant and it was a great reminder of just how much there is to be proud of.

Our part is done. Now the even harder part begins for the judges! 🤞🏆

We are absolutely delighted to share that Cadence Accounting has been selected as a finalist in three different categories at this year’s Tandridge Business Awards!

To be recognised across so many areas means the world to us.

The past year has been our biggest yet. We have grown our team and client base, strengthened our brand, expanded our services, invested in the next generation and continued to challenge what people expect from an accountancy firm.

These nominations each reflect a different part of our journey:

Business of the Year recognises how we have evolved, adapted and continued to grow following our finalist position last year.

Employer of the Year celebrates the investment we have made in young people, our commitment to flexible ways of working and creating a diverse team where people enjoy coming to work.

Apprentice of the Year recognises the commitment, dedication and achievements of one of our team. We couldn’t be prouder.

A huge thank you to our incredible team, clients and wider community for being part of the journey and for continuing to trust and support us.

Investing in the next generation isn’t just something we talk about. 🩷

Last week, we welcomed our first work experience student of the summer to experience what life in accountancy is really like. We even added them to our website’s “Meet the Team” page for the week, because from day one we wanted them to feel like part of the team.

The feedback we received made us incredibly proud. Knowing someone leaves feeling welcomed, supported and inspired reminds us why opening our doors to young people matters.

Today’s students are tomorrow’s accountants, business owners and leaders. If we can help build confidence and maybe even inspire a future career, that’s a week well spent.

This is just the first of several work experience placements we will be hosting over the summer. We can’t wait to welcome the rest.👏

But there was still time for a birthday lunch , a 40th country festival (cowboy boots included 🤠) and the launch of our office World Cup sweepstake!

While we are serious about what we do and looking after our clients, we are just as serious about making Cadence a place people genuinely enjoy being part of.

Cadence was proud to sponsor a hole at Tandridge Golf Club’s Pro-Am tournament this year.

The Pro-Am brings together local players, professionals and businesses for a day that’s as much about connection as it is competition.

A beautiful course, brilliant teams and great hospitality – made even better by the clients we were able to take along and the support we could give to our amazing client

As you’ll have seen from previous posts, we are big believers in backing local businesses – and doing that through sport, in the great outdoors, makes it even more rewarding (even when the British weather has other ideas!).
