Making Tax Digital for Income tax - this is not about tax or some kind of net benefit for you, it’s about charging you penalties for late filing. A big proportion of people will be affected by this because they won’t be able to keep up with compliance. AI will automate the administration of charging and collection. It will bring in huge amounts of money to Hmrc. It’s a brave new world!

HMRC customers(!) who filed their 2024‌‌‌ to‌‌‌ 2025 tax return by 31‌‌‌ January‌‌‌ 2026 can expect a letter to be sent this month or in March‌‌‌ 2026, in order to register for MTD.

If for whatever reason a customer(!) does not receive a letter, it remains their responsibility to check if and when they need to use MTD for Income Tax.

or you can phone me on 07877 738264 and I will be happy to help.

All directors and people with significant control (PSCs) need to verify their identity for Companies House.

Our identity verification requirements will not create a digital ID for company directors or PSCs. It's designed solely to prove that people are who they say they are.

Search the register to check your verification due date:

Not quite correct, you also pay company tax of £8779 on net profits of £46209 for there to be available the dividends of £37430….so total tax is actually £12011 not £3232!

How You Can Use Trivial Benefits

If you run a limited company, you can use trivial benefits to treat yourself completely tax-free.

Up to £50 per item.
Not cash.
Not as part of your salary.
Just a genuine little perk…

This is what happens when you actually know the rules you stop overspending personally and start using the tax-free allowances you’re entitled to.

There is a currently evolving scam risk affecting new VAT registrations in which scammers are fraudulently linking VAT services to a Government Gateway ID they control before genuine business owners have set them up. This means that legitimate businesses can’t access the VAT account or submit the real returns!

In economics, "animal spirits" refer to the non-rational, emotional, and psychological factors like confidence, fear, and optimism that influence human economic behavior and decision-making. The term was popularized by economist John Maynard Keynes in his 1936 book, The General Theory of Employment, Interest, and Money, to explain why economic outcomes are not always the result of purely logical calculations. These sentiments can cause economic fluctuations, as high confidence can spur investment and spending, while fear and pessimism can lead to reduced economic activity.
