HMRC Estimates
Today started off very interesting indeed.
Whilst carrying a normal procedure of checking coding notices before processing payroll, an unexpected code was issued to an employee, so with a little investigation the following transpired.
HMRC had estimated that this particular employee was going to earn £383,000 with estimated income tax of £148,000 and removed their personal allowance. This employee earns less than £1,000 per month.
Where on earth do they get their information.
