Friday was another self-assessment deadline wrap! Well done team for all the hours of hard work! Hundreds of tax returns filed in time (thank you to all clients for working with us to achieve this for you). We celebrated with some much deserved downtime in York 🙌🏻🍻🍸🎳🎯🍕🍝👏🏻

It’s been a busy summer so far! Please welcome Oscar and another Rebecca, two new Accounts Assistants to support our senior team. Oscar has started his Level 3 AAT with us, and Rebecca has just graduated with a First Degree in Accounts & Financial Management 🥂 and is commencing her ACA qualification. Please introduce yourselves to them when you pop into the office. Our first Rebecca has just become fully qualified this summer 🙌🏻🥂, and, having already achieved all her AATs Abbi has been doing intensive study this last year as she comes towards her final ACA qualification too. We are so proud of how hard everyone is working and how well they are all doing with their ongoing and committed client care and various college study loads to achieve these huge goals and to provide you with such a vast amount of knowledge and experience 👏🏻 We also enjoyed the company and assistance of a work experience student here for a week too! So thank you to them for all their help 😊

On Friday we said an emotional farewell to Jamie after nearly a decade of his drive and dedication to Townend English. He will be missed by all the team (for his professional input and for his lovely sense of humour! 😊). We wish him every success in his new ventures, and look forward to working with him as a client instead. Thank you for everything!

We are welcoming a new team member! Ciaran will be with us from Monday as he commences his AATs, and he joined us for a walk in the beautiful rolling Yorkshire countryside around Pocklington and Millington 🌿. Tanya had good reason to miss the walk, but did rejoin us later 🥗😎 A good ramble (which felt at times like survival of the hot sun fittest - and we had worried about rain when we planned it!) - and some aching limbs today 😅!

The year is speeding by and we are nearly half-way through 2022.... May was a celebratory month for our office; Steve married his beautiful fiancée Harriet in a stunning setting in the Yorkshire countryside; a much anticipated union of two lovely people that we had looked forward to. We all enjoyed a wonderful evening partying with them and wish them a lifetime of happiness together. 🥂🎉💘

On a much less exciting but important note, just a reminder to all our clients that you can let us have your self-assessment facts and figures anytime now so that we can get to work on your individual tax returns during the coming months, and we have included our latest Newsletter for you too 👇

April has been a busy but exciting month for us here at the office. We have welcomed a new member to our team. Tanya Rudd joined us a few weeks ago as an Accounts Assistant, and she has already settled in really well here. Do introduce yourself to her when you drop in to see us😊.

Most of our clients will have received our annual prompt to get your personal tax return paperwork to us, or to start collating it together. Thank you in advance for getting organised with this as HMRC seem to be hot on chivvying reminders this year with emails and texts (if you are registered with them for these methods of contact), so it's always nice to be able to think you're already on with it!
