Your Pre-Holiday Money Checklist ☀️

✈️🏝️ Heading off on your summer holiday soon? We have packing lists, but what about a financial checklist? Here are some tips to think about before you jet off this summer:

1️⃣ Travel Insurance: If you pay a monthly fee you may already have insurance with your bank account - if not shop around for a policy. Make sure it covers everyone and everything you need i.e. water sports 🏄‍♀️

2️⃣ Phone Charges: Check roaming fees with your provider, use hotel Wi-Fi where possible and remember this applies to tablets too!

3️⃣ Emergency Fund: Set aside extra money for unexpected changes – if you don’t need it you can always put it towards your next adventure!

4️⃣ Notify Your Bank: Avoid declined transactions! Let your bank know your travel dates and destinations to prevent any issues with using your cards abroad.

5️⃣ Use Travel-Friendly Cards: Look for cards with no foreign transaction fees to save on extra charges.

6️⃣ Currency Exchange: Monitor exchange rates and consider exchanging currency in advance to get the best rates. If you are in a rush head to somewhere with multiple options so you can shop around.

7️⃣ Money Options: Have a couple of ways to access money so you don’t get caught out.

8️⃣ Car Rentals: Consider separate insurance for rentals and take a time stamped video of the full vehicle on collection to document any existing damage.

💜 One of our advisers Anna, along with one of our little ones donated an amazing 14 inches of hair each to the The Little Princess Trust, who make wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatments and other medical conditions.

💛 It's moments like these that remind us of the power of giving back and making a difference in someone's life.

🤍 Thank you so much to everyone who supported them in raising over £1,100 for this incredible charity!
