🎪 Roll up, roll up... the circus is coming to Kingfisher, Redditch! 🎪

If you're looking for FREE family fun during the summer holidays, make sure you don't miss the Kingfisher Circus, running from Tuesday 28th July until Tuesday 25th August.

There's something happening throughout the holidays, including:

🎨 Circus themed craft workshops every Wednesday
🤹 Live entertainment every Saturday
🎈 Balloon modelling, face painting, juggling, magic and more
🎯 Fairground favourites including Hook a Duck, Ring Toss and Co****le

The circus opens with a special trip down memory lane as Jumbo, an incredibly lifelike elephant, visits Kingfisher in celebration of the unforgettable visit by Maureen the Elephant back in 1986, bringing a little nostalgia for many local families.

Opportunities. Advice. Connections. That’s what today was all about. 👏

The Canopies played host to RecruitFest today, with hundreds of conversations taking place between employers, training providers, support organisations and people looking for their next opportunity.

Whether it was exploring a new career, finding training, picking up advice or simply discovering what’s available locally, there was something for everyone under one roof.

A huge credit goes to Chris Bloore for Redditch and the Villages, Jobcentre Plus and all of the organisations who came together to make the day happen. Events like this show just how much can be achieved when local partners work together with a shared goal of supporting our community.

It’s always great to see The Canopies being used for events that bring people together and create real opportunities for local people.

🌿 Let's Come Together for Redditch 🌿

A town is at its very best when everyone plays a part.

On Saturday 25th July, Redditch BID is proud to be partnering with Make Britain Beautiful to bring the first Community Action Day to Redditch.

This is an opportunity for residents, businesses and volunteers to come together, support Acts of Kindness, and spend a few hours giving something back to the town we all care about.

Together we'll be helping with:
🌱 Light weeding
🗑 Litter picking
✨ Cleaning public signs
🌼 Helping brighten the area around Church Green

There are many people who work hard throughout the year to keep Redditch looking its best. Community Action Day is about building on that effort and showing what can be achieved when local people come together with a shared sense of pride in our town.

📍 Meet at Redditch Foodbank - AOK, 24 Church Green East

Whether you can spare an hour or stay for the morning, every helping hand is welcome.

If you have gardening gloves or a few tools, feel free to bring them along. If not, just bring yourself.

What a fantastic day it was!

A huge thank you once again to everyone who came along, supported the event and created such a brilliant atmosphere throughout the day.

It was especially fantastic to see our talented local performers, Zumba Kids, Top Box and Indigo Arts, sharing the stage alongside nationally recognised acts. Having the opportunity to showcase local talent is something that’s really important to us, and they all did Redditch proud.

We hope you all had an amazing day, whether you were singing along, dancing or simply enjoying the atmosphere with family and friends.
