MTD for ITSA reminder

The next MTD for ITSA quarterly update is just around the corner.

If you submitted your first update in August, your next quarter runs from 6 July to 5 October, with the update due by 7 November.

And if you haven’t submitted your first update yet, don’t panic. The first quarterly deadline has passed, but you can still get it sorted.

Now is a good time to make sure your records are up to date and you’re ready for the next quarter.

📢 Bank Holiday Office Closure

Our office will be closed on Friday 28th August for the bank holiday weekend.

MTD for ITSA update

HMRC has confirmed that from September 2026, they will start automatically signing up taxpayers who should already be using MTD for ITSA but haven't registered.

More than 570,000 sole traders and landlords have now signed up, but around 294,000 are still yet to register.

If you're in the first MTD group and haven't signed up yet, now is the time to get sorted rather than wait for HMRC to do it for you.

We’re now a few days into the first MTD for ITSA quarter.

If you’re one of the businesses preparing for MTD, now is the perfect time to get into the habit of keeping your records up to date.

A few minutes each week is much easier than trying to remember everything at the end of the quarter.
