I’ve been putting the finishing touches to something I’m really excited about… 💛

A week today, I’ll be welcoming my clients to my second Summer Soirée.

Last year, we spent the evening sharing stories, talking about my own journey, and celebrating the amazing people I have the privilege to work with.

This year, I’ve decided to do something a little different.

We’re starting the afternoon with a creative session led by the wonderful Nishma from Nishma Delaney before everyone comes together for the evening.

Why?

Because one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned over the years is that we don’t always need more information.

Sometimes we simply need space.

💛 Space to slow down.

🧡 Space to think.

💛 Space to connect with ourselves and with other people.

That’s what I want this event to feel like.
A chance to celebrate, reflect, and enjoy being together.

A huge thank you to for hosting us again this year. I really appreciate your support in bringing this event to life. 💛

I honestly can’t wait to welcome everyone next week. 💛

Something I’ve noticed after more than 33 years in financial planning… 💭

The people who feel most uncertain about money are rarely the ones who don’t have enough.

More often, they’re people who’ve built successful careers, businesses, pensions, savings and property, but have never really stopped to ask…

What is all of this actually for?

I see it all the time.

People who’ve done everything “right” but still can’t picture the life they’re working towards.

People who feel stuck on a treadmill they no longer want to be on.

That became personal for me too.

Before I started Prosperity Life Planning, I spent years travelling long distances, working late and trying to juggle work with raising a young family.

Eventually I realised people didn’t just need help with pensions and investments.

They needed space.

Space to think.

Space to breathe.

Space to work out what they actually wanted life to look like.

That’s why I retrained as a Registered Life Planner and started Prosperity Life Planning in 2018.

These days, the best part of my job isn’t explaining the numbers.

It’s seeing the moment when someone realises what’s possible.

When money stops being an end goal and becomes a way of creating…

✨ More freedom.
✨ More time.
✨ More choice.
✨ More life.

It’s still one of the most important questions I ever ask.

What is all of this actually for?

Have you asked yourself lately? 💛

It’s Friday again!! Time for a Round Up 💛

This week has definitely kept me on my toes 😅

There have been a few unexpected twists with client work, a bit of course correcting behind the scenes, and one big reminder…

I really can’t do this on my own!

The older I get in business, the more I realise how important it is to have the right people around you. Having a team I trust means I can focus on what I do best 💛

And that’s exactly where I’ve spent a lot of my time this week.

I’ve been working with two new clients and those first few meetings are always my favourite.

Before we talk about pensions, investments or financial plans, we spend time discovering the person sitting in front of me.

➡️ What matters to them?
➡️ What do they want more of?
➡️ What’s been getting in the way?

Giving someone the space to think about those questions is incredibly powerful. Its where the deep work happens, and I don’t think that’s something AI will ever replace.

The numbers will come later.

This week also reminded me that looking after ourselves matters too.

I’ve kept up my SPR workouts 💪, travelled into London for face to face client meetings despite the heat 🥵, and caught up with one of my business besties at the start of the week, which was the perfect way to kick things off.

Can’t believe it’s almost 2 weeks until my summer soirée! Very excited to host this for my clients ☀️

Now I’m getting ready for another family celebration this evening, a wedding 💕

Life is busy, but in a good way.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend, whatever you’re up to. 💛

Weekend Round Up 💛

I completely missed my Friday Round Up yesterday, so here’s my Saturday version! 😄

I only worked three days this week, and it’s reminded me that sometimes less really is more.

When you have less time, you become much more intentional about how you spend it.

One of the highlights was my second Life Planning session with a new client.

Every time we dive a little deeper, little nuggets of gold emerge. Things they’ve never really said out loud before.

I love these conversations because they’re rarely just about money. They’re about helping people create a life that genuinely excites them. 💛

I also welcomed another new client this week, who reminds me so much of myself 15 years ago. I’m really looking forward to supporting her on her journey.

Behind the scenes, my Summer Soirée is only three weeks away 🥂🎨 and it’s all starting to come together now!

One afternoon this week I swapped spreadsheets for flowers 🌸 and joined the Timeline team for a flower arranging masterclass. It was so nice to slow down and chat about business, AI, life, and everything in between.

Health has been a focus too 💚 Three SPR workouts completed 💪 and I also started the programme with Dr Rangan Chatterjee. My blood test results arrived this week, so I’m looking forward to making some positive changes over the coming months.

One of my favourite moments this week was spending the day with my daughter before her prom. 💕

I’m so grateful I’ve built a business that gives me the choice to be there for moments like that.

Now we’re off to a family wedding celebration ❤️

I hope you’re all enjoying this beautiful weather and finding time to slow down and spend it with the people who matter most.

Have a wonderful weekend ☀️💛

‘What if’ scenarios are not life planning services.

They have value and I use them too…

But what I do goes way further than that.

The work I do starts with questions most financial advisers never ask.

💡 What do you actually want your life to look like?
💡 What does freedom mean to you specifically? Not in general, but for your life, your relationships or your working week.
💡 What are you afraid of getting wrong?
💡 What have you been putting off that you know, quietly, you shouldn’t be?

I trained as a registered life planner and a certified money coach because I wanted to be equipped to have those conversations properly.

I remember one client who came to me after receiving a significant inheritance.

She thought the conversation was going to be about investing the money.

Instead, we discovered she was carrying years of guilt about spending it because it had come from someone she loved.

Once we’d worked through that, everything changed.

She was able to make confident decisions, support her children financially, and start using her money to create the life she wanted, rather than letting it sit there whilst she worried about making the wrong choice.

That’s the difference life planning can make.

The result is financial planning that’s built around your life and certainly not the other way around.

That distinction is why I built Prosperity Life Planning the way I did.

If your next financial conversation wasn’t really about money, what would you want it to help you solve?

Friday Round Up 💛

Well… it looks like summer has finally arrived ☀️😎

As we head into a scorching weekend, I’m looking back on a week filled with conversations about life, money, and what’s possible.

One of the highlights was starting work with some new clients and having our first Exploration Meeting yesterday.

People often think we’re going to spend all our time talking about money.

And we do.

But we also uncover dreams they’ve forgotten about, ideas they’ve never shared out loud, and possibilities they hadn’t even considered.

I love seeing that spark of excitement when something suddenly feels possible again 🔥

I also had three financial coaching conversations this week.

One thing I always find fascinating is how different generations think about money.

Many of the younger people I spoke to aren’t focused on settling in one place.

💫 They want flexibility.

✨ The freedom to travel.

🌍 The ability to work from different parts of the world whilst still building a career.

It reminds me that there isn’t one version of success. We’re all trying to create lives that work for us 💛

I also spent an evening at the Female Founders Members Club Summer Soirée in London 🥂 connecting with some incredible female business owners and reminding myself that whilst I’m helping my clients grow and move forward, I’m still growing and evolving too.

And on a personal note…

My daughter has officially finished her GCSEs! 🎉📚
I couldn’t be prouder of how she’s handled the last few months 💕

Now it’s time for a well-earned break, family time, Father’s Day celebrations ❤️ and making the most of the sunshine whilst it lasts ☀️

Have a lovely weekend everyone 🥂💛

Wow, finally the exams are over and another school milestone completed! 🎉

Well done Layla ⭐⭐⭐👏👏👏

29 exams later, and I couldn’t be more proud of how you’ve handled the last 7 weeks.

You’ve worked incredibly hard, stayed focused, and kept going right to the very end.

The smile on your face on Weds said everything. 💙

We love you and are so proud of you.

Now it’s to relax, enjoy your summer, spend time with friends, make memories, and celebrate everything you’ve achieved ✨💙✨

“I just feel like I can finally breathe.”

That’s what a client said to me at the end of her mini exploration call.

At the start, she felt anxious, insecure, and under pressure, trying to juggle everything: kids, work, health, money, life.

She’s running her own business while managing the household finances, caring for two young children, and recovering from a chronic illness.

Her husband is kind and supportive, but she carries the mental and emotional load, especially around money.

Sound familiar?

By the end of our conversation, things had shifted.

She said she felt lighter, calmer, more hopeful.

Not because anything huge had changed on paper, but because she had space to talk, be heard, and see a clear path forward.

Sometimes that’s all we need a financial thought partner.

Someone to help us connect the dots between money and meaning.

Someone who can hold space for the messy middle while we figure out our next step.

So many couples are in this place.

One partner doing the thinking, the planning, the worrying. The other trying to help, but unsure how to step in.

No one taught us how to navigate this stuff, not as individuals, and certainly not as partners.

But with the right support, you can start to feel more in control.

You can align your finances with your values, feel less alone, and start building a life that actually works for both of you.

If that sounds like something you’re craving, let’s talk. I offer a short exploration call to help you get clear and leave with your next step.

Confession!

I love Discovery Calls.

What I don’t love is the pressure people put on themselves before we even speak.

People often arrive saying things like:

💭 “I should know all this already.”

💭 “I’m sorry, I’ve got paperwork everywhere.”

💭 “I should have sorted this years ago.”

💭 “I don’t really understand my pensions.”

These are often intelligent, successful people who have spent years building careers, raising families, paying off mortgages, and accumulating wealth.

A few recent comments have been:

“I think we have enough money, but I can’t stop worrying.”

“A lot of our friends have retired. Shouldn’t we be able to retire too?”

“How do I know if we’ve got enough to make these big decisions?”

That’s why my initial calls rarely start with talking about product.

They start with questions like:

👉 What made you reach out now?
👉 What would you like more time for?
👉 What does financial security mean to you?
👉 What would a good life look like over the next 10 years?

Because before I can help someone with their money, I need to understand the person sitting in front of me.

After years in this business , I’ve learned that most people aren’t looking for more information.

They’re looking for confidence.

💛Confidence that they have enough.
💛Confidence to make decisions.

And confidence to start living the life they’ve worked so hard to build 💛

So I’m curious…

What’s the financial question you’ve been carrying around in your head that you haven’t quite been able to answer? 💭

Friday Round Up 💛

This week feels like it’s been on fast forward 😅

A mixture of client meetings, annual reviews, financial coaching conversations, networking with Vicky Labinger and a fair bit of time working on the business 📊

One thing that took up quite a bit of my week was completing two award submissions, one for the Verve Awards and one for the Women in Financial Advice Awards.

What I found really interesting is the insights I get from the applications themselves.

A chance to step back and look at my business from a different angle.

Day to day, I’m focused on clients, meetings, reviews, and helping people move forward.

But when I stop and look at the bigger picture…🌅

It gives me the chance to reflect on why I started Prosperity Life Planning, how the business has evolved, and most importantly, the impact clients are experiencing 💛

I found myself reliving stories of people who have retired with confidence, made big life decisions they’d been putting off, reduced financial stress, and created more freedom and choice in their lives.

That made me feel really proud ❤️

And reminded me how privileged I am to work with such amazing people.

The rest of the week has included continuing to plan this year’s Summer Soirée, which I’m really looking forward to!

We’re on the final stretch of GCSE season 📚 with only a few exams left to go 😍

And I’m super excited to have my son home this weekend for the summer! ❤️

I’m feeling hugely grateful.

💛 For my family
💛 For my clients

And for the reminder that sometimes it’s worth pausing long enough to appreciate how far you’ve come.

Have a lovely weekend everyone 🥰💛
