Childminders! Are you searching for answers about claiming expenses?
We have published new guidance on how all childminders can still claim for:
• household items and furniture
• household costs
• food and drink
If you earn £50,000 or more, you will use Making Tax Digital for Income Tax from 6 April 2026 and record and claim business costs digitally. Otherwise you can still use the alternative rules for childminders if you choose, including the 10% flat estimate for wear and tear on household items and furniture.
