Raising awareness of metastatic breast cancer 💗

To mark Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day, Rayner Essex hosted an online awareness session courtesy of Breast Cancer Now, to help our team better understand metastatic breast cancer and recognise the signs and symptoms to look out for following a primary breast cancer diagnosis.

Did you know that around 61,000 people in the UK are living with metastatic breast cancer?

The session provided valuable insights into what metastatic breast cancer is, the different types of breast cancer, the symptoms to be aware of and the treatment options available.

A heartfelt thank you to Flavia for generously volunteering her time to share her knowledge and help raise awareness of this important cause.

We are also delighted to have raised £250 for the charity, helping to support the important work they do.

By raising awareness, sharing knowledge and supporting one another, we can all help make a difference. 💗

⛳️ A Huge Thank You!

It was an absolute pleasure to host our Annual Golf Challenge yesterday, raising vital funds for Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care.

A very special thank you to our 20 teams who joined us for a fantastic day of four-ball golf. Your incredible spirit, kindness and generosity — particularly during our raffle — truly demonstrated the strength of our St Albans community.

Together, we are helping raise much-needed funds to support people living with life-limiting illnesses, enabling them to live their very best lives with the care, dignity and support they deserve. Rayner Essex, through your ongoing support will be donating £7,000 to Rennie Grove Peace!

Many of you have experienced the amazing care first-hand, and your gratitude and continued support are a testament to the incredible work they do, so thank you!.

🏆 Congratulations also to our Golf Challenge winners, who were Feds Team and to all our other winners and everyone who took part, who made the day such a memorable one.

From September 2026, HMRC will begin automatically signing up eligible sole traders and landlords who should already use Making Tax Digital for Income Tax but have not yet registered.

Automatic sign-up does not complete your reporting obligations. You must still maintain digital records and submit quarterly updates using compatible software. However, MTD should be more than simply submitting figures. Regular advice can help you remain compliant while identifying opportunities to optimise your wider tax position.

Read our latest article to understand who HMRC’s automatic MTD sign-up affects and what it could mean for you: https://bit.ly/4doTkH7
