The Big Bean Giveback 🫘

We've 'bean' busy...In 2021, Money Web set a mission to donate 1,450 tins of beans to The Rainbow Centre in Scarborough. We reached 1,677 tins. This summer, our goal is to surpass our PB, by collecting 2,000 tins for them.

The Rainbow Centre supports the residents of Scarborough by providing food parcels, health screenings, vaccinations, and compassionate guidance - helping individuals and families meet immediate needs and move towards greater stability. We're hoping to give just a little something back, and with every tin donated, it will help to make a huge difference.

It's 'bean' amazing so far, but this is where you come in - we're asking our community, if they can help us reach our goal of 2,000 tins of beans, by dropping a tin or 10 (or 100) off at the office. Anything you can donate will really help. Every bean counts, it'll be un'bean'lievable what we can achieve together!

We’re pleased to share that last week we attended the YCA Awards, where we were finalists in the Charitable Business of the Year category 🥳

Out of 33 incredible organisations, we were proud to be placed in the top 4 👏

Although we didn’t bring the award home this time, we had a fantastic evening and are incredibly proud to have gone so far in such a meaningful category.

Hannah, a member of our Client Communications Team, spent a day last week volunteering at Pickering Hedgehog Rescue, a local charity dedicated to caring for injured, orphaned and vulnerable hedgehogs across North Yorkshire.

Hedgehog numbers in the UK have declined dramatically over recent decades, falling from an estimated 30 million in the 1950s to around 1 million today. They are now officially classified as vulnerable to extinction, making the work of organisations such as Pickering Hedgehog Rescue more important than ever.

Reflecting on her experience, Hannah said: "Having known about Pickering Hedgehog Rescue from when it first started, it was great having the opportunity to help. It was really interesting learning more about what is involved in caring for these amazing animals and seeing the amount of work involved"

We're incredibly proud of Hannah for giving her time to support such a worthwhile local cause and helping to protect one of Britain's most loved native species.
