Giving their time to a brilliant local cause 🧡🐾
Megan and Ellie recently spent their Charity Day volunteering with Whitby Wildlife Sanctuary, helping with the day-to-day care of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife.
The sanctuary relies on donations and volunteers to help meet running costs of around £10,000 every month, making every bit of support incredibly valuable.
Megan chose the charity after attending Cottage Aid in Hunmanby back in June and hearing first-hand just how important volunteers are to the everyday care of the animals.
For Ellie, it was an easy choice thanks to her love of animals and admiration for the incredible work the sanctuary does rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife.
During the day, they got stuck in cleaning enclosures, feeding birds including kittiwakes and pigeons, feeding the cats and collecting food for Buddy and Pearl, the sanctuary’s two deer. 🦌
A rewarding day supporting a fantastic cause and the animals in their care. 🧡
