There is a new fund for small local businesses, impacted by COVID-19 who've not already received a government grant.

Grants of either £10,000, £5,000 or £2,500, which do not have to be paid back, are now available.

Do you know any business owners who run bed and breakfasts, are regular market traders, operate firms based in shared premises or co-working spaces, or who run companies in creative & digital industries and manufacturing? Please tag them in the comments as they may be eligible.

Adur & Worthing Councils have an additional £1.5 million to distribute to local firms as part of continued efforts to help the area bounce back from the pandemic.

Applications launched on June 1st with a closing date on Sunday June 14th.

Applicants should have fewer than 50 employees, have fixed building costs and must have been trading before March 11.

The Job Retention Scheme launched at 8am on 20 April 2020.
By midnight on 20 April:

➡️185,000 claims were submitted through the scheme
➡️That’s a total of 1,300,000 employees reported as furloughed
