After 50 years in the industry and 22 years owning his own practices it's time for the boss to hang up his calculator! Glenn has been a brilliant boss, teacher, and friend to many over the years and has shown so much care and dedication to his job. We wish him the happiest of retirements and a well deserved break! The office won't be the same without him!

In November the Government announced the increase in the National Living Wage (NLW) and the National Minimum Wage (NMW) which will apply from 1st April 2024.

What’s on my mind this month is to think about the year ahead. The winter months are a time for sitting by the fire, reading a book, taking stock and perhaps even making a budget. We live in a very expensive country and it’s good discipline to manage our finances well, especially when things are tight. So - get your laptop out and make a start. If you use QuickBooks you have an added advantage in some versions because it will create a budget for you using last year’s income and expenditure. If Excel is your route we can help you out with a template if you need a push!
So let that be your new year’s resolution if you haven’t made one already!

Well...here we are again - two weeks to go to the self-assessment tax deadline!
You might know that 50% of all tax returns get filed in January and of those, 40% are filed on the final day.
