A new month which means another Meet The Team post, and today the spotlight is on our lovely Kerry😊

Kerry is our accounting systems specialist at Thursfields and is certified with all the leading accounting software providers. She completed her training within an audit firm and is a qualified accounting technician with over 12 years’ accounting experience.

Kerry supports new businesses, looks after our incorporated clients and also deals with all things VAT related.

Outside of work, she is mum to her little boy, Leo, and enjoys spending time with her three doodle dogs and cat🐶🐶🐶🐈. Whenever she gets a very rare five minutes, she loves settling down with a good chick flick (or just anything other than Bing or Mickey!😂)

Day 5 complete — and they’ve done it! 🎉🥾

After five incredible days, Jennifer and Teri have officially completed The Staffordshire Way!

Their final day brought another early start and plenty of climbs, but also some spectacular views from The Cloud, before they made their way to the finish at Mow Cop Castle. 🏰

What an amazing achievement after a week of extreme heat, blisters, aches, detours, wrong turns and plenty of challenging terrain. Through it all, they kept going and supported each other right to the very end. 💪❤️

A huge congratulations to Jen and Teri — you should both be incredibly proud!

Thank you as well to everyone who followed their journey, sent messages of encouragement and donated along the way. Your support really did help them through the tougher moments.

Day 4 complete 🥾🔥

Another very early start for Jennifer and Teri yesterday as they battled yet another day of extreme heat on the Staffordshire Way.

The good news? No new injuries! 🙌 And despite having to finish earlier because of the temperatures, they still managed to take in some beautiful Staffordshire countryside along the way.

There were, however, a few strategic detours to avoid Jen’s newly discovered nemesis… cows, bulls and anything else looking remotely intimidating in a field! 😂🐄

Day 3 complete! 🥾☀️

Jennifer and Teri were up bright and early yesterday, setting off at 5.30am in an attempt to beat the heat — and it certainly paid off!

They managed to get the majority of the day’s miles completed before the worst of the afternoon temperatures, before carrying on into the early evening to knock a few extra miles off today’s route. 💪

It sounds like the Staffordshire countryside also threw a few extra challenges their way, with Jen now officially declaring a phobia of cows, bulls and aggressive sheep! 😂🐄🐑

Day 2 of the Staffordshire Way challenge complete! 🥾☀️

Yesterday, Jen and Teri completed another tough day on the Staffordshire Way — and the heat certainly made it a challenging one!

A few wrong turns, road closures and even a diversion due to wildfire risk added some extra mileage to the day, while Jen also finished with four more blister plasters, a knee brace and an ankle strap! 😬

Despite all that, they made it to the finish and are back out again today, with an earlier start to try and beat the temperatures. 💪

Monday’s update – Day 1 complete! 🥾👏

Yesterday Jen and Teri completed the first day of the Staffordshire Way challenge, walking an amazing 19 miles from Kinver Edge to Codsall - and only two blister plasters needed so far! 😬

They both enjoyed some beautiful Staffordshire scenery along the way, with a very welcome stop in Enville. A big thank you to Marie at Kinver Parish Council and also to Archie’s Enville for the much needed toilet stop and the delicious flapjacks that kept them going!

A huge thank you also to Monday’s sponsors, HMM Mechanical & Building Services Ltd and Daz Brennan, for supporting Jen and the challenge.

19 miles down, and Day 2 is already underway! 💪🥾

🥾 94 miles. 5 days. One incredible challenge. 💚

This Monday, our very own Jen will be swapping the office for her walking boots as she takes on the 94-mile Staffordshire Way Challenge alongside Teri Bryce, raising vital funds for Walk Talk Action.

We’re incredibly proud of Jen for not only taking on such a huge challenge, but for being the inspiration behind it in the first place. 💚

Over five days, they’ll walk the Staffordshire Way from Kinver Edge to Mow Cop, helping to raise funds and awareness to support people struggling with their mental health.

With Monday fast approaching, we’d love our clients, friends and followers to get behind Jen and Teri. Every donation, no matter how small, will help them towards their goal and give them an extra boost when the miles get tough!
