We’re delighted to welcome Alex Harrison as our new apprentice at Roseberry Finance & Accounting! 🎉

Alex has already been part of the team, working part-time alongside his A Levels in Economics, Maths, and Business, and now takes the exciting next step in his career with us.

Outside of work, Alex enjoys keeping active at the gym and spending quality time with his family.

We’re proud to support Alex on this journey and wish him every success as he builds his career in finance and accounting. 🌟

Its fantastic to continue working with Stockton Riverside College to provide opportunities to apprentices.

Joanne Wallace has been brilliant in guiding us through the process, we would certainly recommend any other accountancy practices, or any sectors looking to give an apprentice an opportunity, connect and speak with Joanne and her team.

Thanks Joanne and everyone at Stockton Riverside College!

We’re delighted to be working with Roseberry Finance & Accounting Ltd and are so grateful to their director, Phil Robson, for sharing his experience of working with apprentices Alex and Rahul and our team at Stockton Riverside College.

“We’ve worked with Stockton Riverside College for a few years now to bring new finance apprentices into the business. Working with Jo and Anna for recruitment and enrolment is a smooth process, they make everything straightforward and simple and ensure we have all relevant information around the course and funding options. I have always been a big believer in apprenticeships, they not only help us grow our businesses, they also allow us to help the next generation have opportunities to start their finance career. It’s a great experience where we work in collaboration with the college to ensure our apprentices have a quality experience and gain the skills they need to pursue their career.”

Thank you Phil, for your kind words and continued partnership - it’s always a pleasure to collaborate with you and your team!

If you’d like to take on a finance apprentice, learn more about funding and loan options, or simply find out how apprenticeships could benefit your business, our team would be happy to help.

Our eyes have been opened….

Today our Director Phil Robson stepped away from the day to day and spent the morning with Ryan Naylor from Sauce Marketing

As a business we have not pushed marketing previously and it has always been something in the back of my mind that we knew we needed to look at.
Now we have a clear short and long term plan in place and looking forward to the results that follow.

Ryan looked at what we do currently, what our target clients were and what sets us out from the crowd. We discussed everything from client reviews, updating the website, social media, and more, and we have now put in place targets to try and achieve the results were looking for, but ensured that these are realistic by walking before we start to run.

If your looking for a company to assist you with your marketing strategy then we can’t recommend Sauce Marketing enough!

Thank you Ryan for your invaluable guidance!

Companies House have been sending out e-mails to all companies on the register…

The email lays out further information regarding the changes which have now been comfirmed to come into effect from April 2027.

All accounts will have to be filed using digital software, no longer can you file via the web or on paper. This probably isnt so much of an issue as I suspect most companies are already adhering to this.

Heres the controversial part…
Micro Entity and Small companies will now have to publish a Profit & Loss account.

The reasoning under Companies House Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act is to improve conditions for accessing credit, lenders being able to access the information online and therefore provide confidence.
It also claims the changes will reduce the risk of fraud and money laundering.

However this does mean this information will be publicly available to employees, competitors and anyone that wants to take a look.

How do you feel about these changes? I would love to hear!

💳 Tap to Pay by Xero…

Recent surveys have shown that card payment is the preferred payment method in the UK with over 62% of the vote.

Yet so many small businesses do not offer this as an option.

Xero have now launched tap to pay which makes taking card payments even easier, being able to raise an invoice on the app and take payment immediately.

💥Improved Cash Flow
💥Greater customer interactions
💥No need for card payment terminals

We took our first payment using the method this week when a client called in, it was seamless to get it set up and process the payment.
