This year’s theme for is action. 🚨
As a parent or carer supporting a child who is struggling, taking action for yourself can feel incredibly difficult.
You’re busy fighting systems that don’t always support your child.
🗓️💼 You’re managing appointments, school, work, life, and caring responsibilities.
Somewhere along the way, your own mental health needs stop becoming a priority. You forget about yourself.
I know because I’ve been there living in survival mode.
It took many years, support, and therapy for me to start truly looking after myself; to understand that self-care wasn’t selfish, it was necessary. It was selfless.
So today, and throughout this week, take a moment and pause. 💭
💜 What is one action you can take to support your mental and emotional wellbeing?
It doesn’t need to be grand.
It doesn’t need to be life-changing.
One small step.
One small change.
Even 5 minutes a day dedicated to YOU matters.
Because as a parent/carer:
💜YOU matter.
💜YOU are important.
💜YOU are worthy of support and investment.
