🚗 Good news for small businesses and self-employed workers.

The mileage allowance has increased from 45p to 55p per mile for the first 10,000 business miles.

This is the first increase in 15 years and comes as fuel and running costs continue to rise.

Key points:
* Backdated to 6 April 2026
* 55p per mile for first 10,000 miles
* 25p per mile after 10,000 miles
* No change to motorcycle rates

If you use your vehicle for work, it may be worth reviewing your mileage claims for the current tax year.
