For internationally mobile families, life insurance can play a far broader role than simply providing financial protection.

When structured appropriately, it can help provide estate liquidity, support efficient wealth transfer, protect beneficiaries from forced asset sales, and complement wider cross-border estate planning strategies.

For high-net-worth expats with assets, businesses or family members across multiple countries, understanding how life insurance fits into your overall financial plan can be just as important as your investment strategy.

Read our latest guide to explore how life insurance may support long-term wealth structuring across borders. https://www.blacktowerfm.com/news/life-insurance-for-high-net-worth-expats-estate-planning-liquidity-and-cross-border-wealth-structuring/

AI is becoming more common in financial planning, but international wealth management is rarely straightforward.

Human advice continues to play an important role in cross-border financial planning.

Good news for pension savers.

The DWP has proposed removing the controversial "overseas investment" amber flag, a rule that has delayed thousands of legitimate pension transfers since 2021.

Under the current system, transfers can be flagged simply because the receiving pension scheme contains overseas investments – despite global diversification being a standard feature of many modern portfolios.

If implemented, the change could help reduce transfer delays, simplify pension consolidation and improve the overall experience for savers, while maintaining important protections against pension scams.

Read our latest article to learn what the proposed changes could mean for your retirement planning. https://www.blacktowerfm.com/news/dwp-to-remove-amber-flag-blocking-thousands-of-pension-transfers/
