Here’s a little bit about us and why helping foster carers with their tax returns means so much to us.
As a lot of you already know, my Mum is a foster carer, so we see first-hand the day-to-day reality of fostering — the good days, the difficult days, and everything in between.
When we set up our company, one thing we decided from the very beginning was that we wanted to offer foster carers an affordable service for completing and submitting their tax returns.
Our fee is £75 for a full foster carer tax return.
I know some people see that price and think, “£75? That can’t be right!” — but it definitely is.
We simply don’t believe foster carers should have to pay hundreds of pounds to have their tax return completed. We see with our own eyes the incredible job you do for children and young people who need a safe, caring and supportive home.
I spoke to a foster carer during the week who told me she had been charged £500 for her tax return last year. I was genuinely astonished.
I’m not here to criticise other firms — every business can set its own fees — but £500 really did surprise me.
I regularly tell my Mum how proud I am of her for everything she does for the children and young people who come into her care. I know fostering can be incredibly difficult at times because I see it first-hand, but I also see the difference you make.
So keep doing what you're doing. The difference you make to a child or young person can last a lifetime.
