Did you know there might be tax due on your Service Charge? 👀

In most cases, Service Charge income isn't taxable. But there are circumstances where tax can become due.

For example:
📡 Income generated externally, such as through the rental of roof space
💰 Bank interest earned on Service Charge funds over certain thresholds

And if tax is due but hasn't been accounted for, HMRC may retrospectively apply interest and penalties.

It's a complex area, and it's one we know particularly well.

If you're not sure whether tax is due, or whether a Trust needs to be set up, we're happy to take a look. Better to check now than get an unwelcome letter from HMRC later!

Robin on the road again 🚗

We love visiting our clients in person. Of course we can do an awful lot over email, Teams and a phone call, but sometimes there's no substitute for sitting down together, seeing how things work in practice and getting to know the people behind the numbers.

Visiting a client gives us the chance to understand their existing systems, spot where things could work better and get a proper feel for what they actually need.

It might take a little more time upfront, but we find it often saves plenty of time further down the line.

And our clients really appreciate us literally going the extra mile!
