Got a Halifax mortgage or bank account?

You might have seen the headlines about Halifax disappearing.

Don't worry – it's really not as dramatic as it sounds.

Halifax has been part of Lloyds Banking Group for a long time, and this is simply a gradual move to the Lloyds brand. For customers, it's very much business as usual.

Your mortgage, current account or savings account isn't changing because of this announcement. You don't need to move your money, update anything or take any action. If there's ever anything you genuinely need to know, you'll hear directly from the bank.

⚠️ The only thing I'd be extra careful of is scams.

News like this can be an opportunity for fraudsters to send convincing texts, emails or make phone calls pretending to be the bank.

Remember:

Never transfer money because someone tells you to "protect" or "secure" it.

Never share your security details or one-time passcodes.

If you're ever unsure, hang up and contact the bank using the number on their official website or through the banking app.

Other than that... it's business as usual. 👍

Elliot always offers 10/10 service. He became highly recommended to us through Dowen Estate Agency but also through family. Working with Elliot was a really great experience from start to finish, and I’d happily recommend him to anyone looking for a mortgage broker. From the first conversation, he was super friendly and easy to talk to, which made the whole process feel a lot less stressful than I expected.

One thing that really stood out was how well he explained everything. Mortgages can be confusing, but Elliot broke things down in a way that actually made sense.
