I had My adrenalectomy in June 2025. It was successful, blood pressure started to drop as did blood sugars. I had to reduce insulin intake, no longer taking rapid action insulin regularly. Basal insulin also reduced.
However, I had a heart attack, in September 2025. Following an angiogram it was discovered that I need a triple bypass. Operation due in January 2026. Awaiting a date soon, although Doctor's strike may delay things.
Had a few incidents since, using gtn, however that spikes blood sugars and have to use rapid insulin to stabilise.
The main issue is that I have even more limited time to complete Tax returns this year. So submit the information soon.

My operation did not happen in 2024. Currently scheduled early June 2025. What with recovery and convalescent time, I suspect I'll be out of action most of June. Just in time to gear up for tax return season.

Just been in and out of hospital, again.
Looks like a bacterial infection had an impact on my heart. So on antibiotics.
The office is closed for the next two weeks for a summer break.
This should give me time to recover.

Ok, many of you are aware that I have not been well for a while. (Since 2008).
Hypertension ( high blood pressure), Type 2 Diabetic (2015) and various associated issues.
It seems that these were all secondary problems, I actually have Conn's syndrome.
The last two test's to confirm the extent will be done, July 1st and August 12th. Then I'll have the operation late September/ early October to remove the tumour.
That should, in time, resolve the Hypertension and the hyperglycemia.
The weakening and pain in my muscles should cease and any dampening of my mood should lift.
So 2025 could see a new me.

Good morning unscheduled office closure
Russell Lewis is in hospital and won't be out until the weekend..they are doing miriad of tests. So the office will not be open until after the bank holiday.
UPDATE Russell will now in hospital until after the bank holiday we are now looking at the2nd and the 3rd of april..

The office will shut for two weeks from 6pm on 24 November whilst I take a holiday. We will reopen Tuesday 12th December.

The Xmas break will be from 12.00 noon 22 December and will reopen on January 2.

On tuesday (10/10) I attended the ACCA roadshow at the Ageas bowl, Southampton.
Start, Grow and Sell - specifically talking about accountancy 'businesses', although many of the points applied generally.
Each of the sponsors added their take on the topic too.
All in all, I gained knowledge, experiance, future options as well as a few calories.

For those whom are unaware. I awoke Tuesday with pins and needles on my left side. Wednesday the pins and needles were more widespread. Went into RBH in the afternoon. Apparently I had a small stroke, so after various assessments I am due home this afternoon.

HMRC: 'Ooops, I did it again'

The 'Deadline' for Making Tax Digital for ITSA is going to be pushed back, again.

An announcement was published and then retracted, indicating a further delay of two years. Its withdrawal leads to speculation that the delay could be even longer.

Good luck to all the british teams playing in New Zealand at the Womens Rugby World Cup.
I will not be up at 4:30am to watch the first game.
