We’re delighted to welcome Kate Cooper as a Business Advisory Partner at Carpenter Box, strengthening our presence across Portsmouth and the wider Solent region, including our newly established Southampton office.

Kate brings more than 20 years’ experience supporting owner-managed businesses with their finances, growth plans and long-term goals. A Chartered Accountant since 2004, she has worked with businesses ranging from start-ups to established companies, building strong client relationships and providing practical, tailored advice.

Kate will be based across our Portsmouth and Southampton areas, supporting businesses throughout the Solent and playing an important role in the continued growth of Carpenter Box in the region.

We’re very pleased to have her on board and look forward to introducing her to clients and contacts over the coming months.

We're rounding off our Charity Partner spotlight series with My Sisters' House Women's Centre 🧡

Supporting women across West Sussex, My Sisters' House provides a wide range of support, resources and services for women, particularly those affected by domestic abuse, poverty, mental health challenges and barriers to employment.

Through one-to-one casework, counselling, workshops and practical support, My Sisters’ House helps women feel empowered, supported and better able to move forward.

Through the Carpenter Box Charitable Foundation, we're proud to support their work over the coming years and help raise awareness of the difference they make within our communities.

Today's Charity Partner spotlight is Moonstones 🧡

Moonstones supports victims of domestic abuse by providing practical care packages to individuals and families relocating to a safer future. From essential household items to everyday necessities, these practical packages can make a significant difference to those rebuilding their lives after experiencing domestic abuse.

We're proud to support Moonstones through the Carpenter Box Charitable Foundation and help raise awareness of the incredible difference they make.

Next in our Charity Partner spotlight series is Acorn Pregnancy Counselling Centre 🧡

Based in Worthing, Acorn provides free, confidential and non-judgmental support for those affected by unexpected pregnancy and pregnancy loss. Alongside one-to-one counselling, they also work within local schools to provide education and support where it's needed most.

We're looking forward to supporting Acorn and helping raise awareness of the important services they provide.

This week, we're introducing the four charities that have been selected as Charity Partners of the Carpenter Box Charitable Foundation (CBCF).

We're starting with Grassroots Su***de Prevention 🧡

Based in Brighton, Grassroots is dedicated to preventing su***de through education, training and awareness. The charity works to equip individuals and organisations with the skills and confidence to support those at risk of su***de, reduce stigma and encourage open conversations around mental health.

We're proud to be supporting Grassroots and helping raise awareness of the vital work they do across our communities.

Inspiring the next generation✨

Colleagues from Carpenter Box have been proud to take part in the Dare to Dream programme with the Love Local Jobs Foundation, supporting students from Davison C of E High School for Girls across a series of inspiring and engaging sessions.

A brilliant evening celebrating the launch of our new Portsmouth office at Lakeside North Harbour.

Yesterday, we welcomed clients and contacts to join us for canapés and drinks, marking an exciting new chapter for Carpenter Box, part of the Sumer Group in Portsmouth.

The evening included an introduction from Partner and Portsmouth office lead, Peter Reading, who shared more about our plans for the office and our continued commitment to supporting businesses across the local area.
