Tax Reminder – Is your Second Payment on Account due?

If you're self-employed and make Payments on Account, don't forget that your second payment is due by 31 July.

If you're unsure whether this applies to you, ask yourself:

✔️ Did you make a Payment on Account in January?
✔️ Do you have a Self Assessment tax bill?

If the answer is yes, it's worth checking whether a payment is due this month.

Leaving it until the last minute could result in interest being charged if you miss the deadline.

Julie's Friday Business Tip

One of the biggest mistakes I see?

People wait until January to think about their tax bill.

Instead, get into the habit of putting a percentage of every payment you receive into a separate savings account.

It doesn't have to be a huge amount, but by saving little and often you'll avoid a nasty surprise when your tax becomes due.

A small habit today can save a lot of stress later.
