A little more to know about Tom - he’s born and raised in Pocklington, played professional Cricket for Leeds and Nottingham before completing his financial planning exams and joining our close knit team!

We’re really looking forward to watching Tom grow on this journey with YorWealth, for now he is learning the ropes from our seasoned team before building his own client portfolio. Next time you’re in, make sure to look out for him (not that we think you’ll miss him!) 🫢

Katie, Simon and Ollie took a little time out of the office to visit Andy Knowles CEO York Against Cancer and Charlotte Wainwright-Price from York Against Cancer last week.

As YorWealth's official charity of the year it was great to have a chat about ideas for collaboration and fundraising during the months ahead and identify ways to maximise the partnership.

The visit was topped off with a show round of The Leveson Centre, an incredible facility which offers free support, information, company and a cuppa(!) to people whose lives have been touched by cancer.

Yesterday Simon and Beth had the pleasure of visiting Ampleforth College to speak with Year 12 students about their future careers and the role financial understanding will play as they take their next steps.

Their session covered:

What a career in financial advice really looks like
Pathways into the profession
Why financial literacy matters for young adults
Practical ways to start building healthy money habits early

It was fantastic to see such engaged, thoughtful questions from the students - A real credit to the school and a reminder of how important it is to equip young people with the knowledge and confidence to make informed financial decisions.

A huge thank you to Ampleforth College and Stevaan Hall RCDP for inviting us in.
