📜Accounting and Auditing Dates Back 5,000 Years or More!

💡The Origin of "Audit": The word "Audit" comes from the Latin word "Audire," which means "to listen".

⏳Back in ancient times, wealthy people sought to keep track of their possessions, like castles and gold ornaments. To do this, they hired scribes to maintain detailed records. A junior scribe would read the list of possessions aloud to a senior scribe, who would then make a count and compare the records periodically.

📝How did we send documents to our clients?
💡Then: We used fax! We scanned documents, ensured the line was clear and transmitted them one page at a time over the telephone line to our clients’ fax machines.
💡Now: Emails deliver multiple files instantly - no more paper jams!

📞How did we contact our clients?
💡Then: We had brick phones, which primarily functioned for voice calls and lacked texting, internet and apps - quite different from what we have today.
💡Now: Smartphones keep us connected through calls and text messages in real-time. We can communicate with clients anytime and anywhere.
