Today, we’re answering a very practical question we hear often: How will I understand my investments if I don’t speak Hebrew?

For many Olim, language is one of the biggest barriers when it comes to managing finances in Israel. And it’s a valid concern. You should never feel uncertain or excluded when it comes to your own money.

At Labinsky Financial, our portfolio management team is fluent in English. From the very first conversations, we make sure you fully understand your financial goals, your investment strategy, and how your portfolio is structured.

Your advisor will review your portfolio with you at least once a year, whether by phone, online, or in person. In addition, records of your investments and trades are available in English, and our office is always available during working hours to answer questions and explain things clearly.

💡Understanding your investments should never depend on language. Clear communication is part of responsible financial management.

If you want financial guidance in Israel without language barriers, we’re here to help. https://labinsky.com/contact/

Today, we’re answering another common and important question.

Are all your investments in Israel?

Short answer: no, and for many clients, that’s a big advantage.

At Labinsky Financial, we manage portfolios that include publicly traded securities on US exchanges and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. While Israel is home for many of our clients, their financial lives are often global, and their investments should reflect that reality.

In addition, for qualified clients, we also offer private investment opportunities, mostly related to real estate in the US market. These can play a role in diversification and long term planning, depending on a client’s goals and risk profile.

Some clients focus entirely on Israel, others maintain assets in the US for tax, diversification, or family reasons. Our role is to help you structure and manage your investments in a way that makes sense for your full financial picture, not just one country.

Your investments don’t have to be limited by geography. What matters is how everything fits together.

Today, we’re answering another common question we hear from clients. What types of investments do you deal with? https://labinsky.com/asset-management/

When people think about investing, they often assume there’s only one path. In reality, there are different tools for different goals.

At Labinsky Financial, we work with two main types of investments:

1) The first is publicly traded securities. These are investments traded primarily on US exchanges and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. They form the core of many portfolios and allow for liquidity, transparency, and ongoing portfolio management aligned with your risk level and life stage.

2) The second is private equity placements, which are mostly
related to real estate opportunities in the US market. These are typically suited for qualified investors looking to diversify beyond public markets and access longer term opportunities.

The key is not choosing one over the other, but understanding how each fits into your overall financial picture. Some clients focus solely on publicly traded securities, while others benefit from combining both, depending on their goals, timeline, and risk tolerance.

Different investments serve different purposes. The right mix depends on you, not on a one-size-fits-all approach.

The FAQ Series - Question #2

Today we’re talking about a question almost every investor asks.

"What type of returns can I expect from my investment portfolio?"

It’s natural to want clear numbers when planning your financial future. But the truth is that returns always come back to one thing: risk level.

👉 Higher-risk investments generally offer higher expected returns, but they also come with a greater chance of losses.

👉 Lower-risk investments are more stable, but typically grow more slowly.

The real challenge is finding your balance.

At Labinsky Financial, we spend time understanding your risk tolerance, your life stage, and your future cash needs. A young family planning for long term growth requires a very different mix than someone nearing retirement. And because we manage portfolios both in Israel and the US, we can shape an investment strategy that aligns with your entire financial picture.

💡 A healthy portfolio includes the right blend of higher and lower risk assets, designed for stability, opportunity, and long term success.

Returns are never one-size-fits-all. The right question isn’t “What will I make?” but “What’s the smartest risk level for my goals?”

Stop Looking Back. Your Finances Move Forward. Why Dwelling on What You Didn’t Do Holds You Back 🔗 https://labinsky.com/when-the-perfect-is-the-enemy-of-the-good/

One of the most powerful ideas in Baruch’s article is surprisingly simple:

"Don’t let past inaction stop future progress."

Many people avoid checking bills because they feel guilty for not reviewing previous ones. That guilt quickly becomes a mental barrier: “I’m already behind, so what’s the point?”

But this mindset only reinforces the problem. The solution is to look forward, not back. Check the next bill. Take the next small step. Build momentum from today rather than trying to rewrite yesterday.

Your finances improve the moment you shift your focus to what you can do now.

Don’t Miss These Financial Opportunities Before the Year Ends: https://labinsky.com/when-the-perfect-is-the-enemy-of-the-good/

The end of the year is the perfect time to take simple steps that can meaningfully improve your financial position. A few smart moves now can reduce your tax liability, boost your long term savings, and even generate refunds you might otherwise miss.

Here are two high impact actions many people overlook:

1. Maximize your pension and long term savings contributions
Topping up your pension or kupot gemel before year end can lower your current taxes while growing your money in tax advantaged accounts. This matters even more if you’re self employed.

2. Make charitable donations before the deadline
Donations to approved charities can return 35 percent back into your pocket through a tax credit. And if you miss the timing, filing a yearly tax return can still help you claim it.

These are small steps with big financial benefits, and the window closes soon.

Why “Perfect” Is Costing You Money: https://labinsky.com/when-the-perfect-is-the-enemy-of-the-good/

Most people agree that checking their bills is the smart thing to do. Yet most people don’t do it. Not because they don’t care, but because they feel overwhelmed.

We wait for the perfect moment - more time, less stress, a clean desk - and in the process we do nothing at all.

The truth is simple: Small actions protect your finances far more than perfect plans.

In this new article, Baruch Labinsky explains why perfectionism holds us back, how a few minutes can save real money, and why starting small with your finances is one of the most powerful habits you can build.

From practical tips to surprising real life stories (yes, even water bills with hidden leaks), the message is clear:

Don’t wait for perfect. Start today. Start small.

Volatility tests more than your portfolio - it tests your patience and discipline. https://labinsky.com/three-turbulent-years-what-investors-can-learn-from-israels-market-rebound/

During turbulent times, it’s tempting to react emotionally: to sell when markets drop or chase returns when they rise. But investing is not about predicting next month’s headlines - it’s about aligning your strategy with your long-term vision and risk tolerance.

Those who stayed the course through 2023’s challenges didn’t just avoid losses - they captured the upside of Israel’s rebound. A well-built plan provides the confidence to stay steady when everyone else is panicking.

You can’t control the markets, but you can control your discipline, your mindset, and your long-term plan.

The Tel Aviv Stock -125 index has outperformed the S&P 500 - and by a wide margin. https://labinsky.com/three-turbulent-years-what-investors-can-learn-from-israels-market-rebound/

Over the past two years, Israel’s stock market returned 101%, compared to 59% for the S&P 500. Even more impressive - when you account for the dollar’s 15% drop against the shekel, local investors who stayed invested in Israel’s market achieved much stronger real gains.

Behind those numbers is a bigger story: belief and resilience. Investors who didn’t panic, who continued to trust in Israel’s long-term strength, saw their discipline pay off.

Markets move in cycles - and confidence during downturns often leads to the strongest recoveries.

Markets rise and fall, headlines come and go - but real wealth is built by staying consistent. Avoid the noise.

Don’t chase the latest “hot stock.”
Don’t panic during downturns.
And definitely don’t try to time the market.

A simple, diversified portfolio of low-cost ETFs, combined with regular contributions, can outperform most complex strategies. Review your plan once or twice a year - not every week.

The key is to focus on what you can control: consistency, diversification, and time. That’s what builds peace of mind and financial independence.
