I walked into today's session expecting business advice.
I walked out questioning how I'm building my own business.
That was the impact of learning from Rajiv Talreja.
One idea stayed with me throughout the session:
𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗯𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗯𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻.
Every business goes through six distinct stages, and each stage demands a different version of the founder.
1️⃣ Invisible
You are still searching for product-market fit.
Find:
• The right customer
• The right problem
• The right solution
• The right price
2️⃣ Emergence
Customers start noticing you.
This is when you must invest in learning, marketing, and capability, even if it feels uncomfortable.
3️⃣ Chaos
Growth arrives.....but so do bottlenecks.
The founder becomes the busiest person in the company.
The answer isn't working harder.
It's building systems, empowering people, and delegating effectively.
4️⃣ Stability
Revenue becomes predictable.
Ironically, this is where complacency becomes the biggest risk.
Focus shifts to:
• Building second-line leaders
• Strengthening processes
• Improving quality relentlessly
5️⃣ Abundance
The question is no longer:
"𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘷𝘦?"
It becomes:
"𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰 𝘸𝘦 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘴?"
Governance, management depth, and strategic thinking become essential.
6️⃣ Power
At scale, growth depends less on effort and more on vision, discipline, and humility.
Success can create its own risks:
• Arrogance
• Poor capital allocation
• Overconfidence
My biggest takeaways
✔ Marketing is value creation, not self-promotion.
✔ Sales should be system-driven, not founder-dependent.
✔ Word of mouth is a blessing, not a business strategy.
✔ Video marketing is no longer optional.
✔ Email marketing should educate before it sells.
✔ Relationships continue to be one of the strongest growth engines.
A few lines from the session that I'll remember:
"𝗕𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱, 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆."
"𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆."
"𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲."
"𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀, 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗼𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝘁𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳."
A sincere thank you to 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗶𝘃 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗷𝗮 for delivering a session that was practical, honest, and immediately actionable.
As founders, our biggest job isn't just growing revenue.
It's continuously evolving ourselves.
𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆?
👇 I'd love to hear your thoughts.
